In February 2013, nearly 450,000 RuneScape members voted to go Old School. That is the release of a version of the game from August 2007. With a thriving community a dedicated development team provides maintenance for this version – we call Old School RuneScape, as well as releasing updates that are chosen by regular community polls. We're also adding in more of the modern game's anti-bot technology so that we can maintain our zero-tolerance stance against cheating, botters and gold farmers.

OldSchool RuneScape is available to all RuneScape members at no extra cost.
